  • Is the Common App all that I need to complete to apply to schools?

For most of our schools yes; however, there are a few schools that have additional requirements and testing. Make sure you research the schools you are interested in before applying.

  • How quickly do I need to submit my child's application?

You can submit your child’s application on the first day of the application window or the last. All applications will be processed at the same time after the deadline. Be aware that you may need additional testing for a specific school. Allow yourself time to meet all requirements.

  • Will my children automatically be able to enroll in the same school?

School enrollment depends on the number of seats available, the priority list for the school you are applying to, and then randomly assigned application number of your child.

  • If I apply to a new school for my child and they receive placement, can I change my mind and stay at current school?

No. If you are placed at a school on your list, you will lose your child’s current school spot. Make sure you apply ONLY if you want your child to change schools.

  • Will submitting multiple applications increase my chances of getting into one of my school choices?

No. All applicants will receive only one offer regardless of how many applications they submit. Only the most recent application is considered during the matching process. Submitting multiple applications may damage your chances of getting what you want because the most recent application will overwrite any previously submitted school selections.

  • What happens after I submit my K-12 application?

Once you submit your application you should receive an email confirming that the application has been submitted. All applications will be processed after the deadline closes. Once matches are made you will receive your school placement in your common app parent portal.
